Updating Your Software for Year End

IES Host Customers: You must schedule your year-end update through the Year-End Request Form on the Innovative Customer Resources Site. Once you've logged onto the site, click Year End Request on the top menu bar and complete the form as directed. You have to request a specific date between December 1, 2007, and January 15, 2008, for your update. Please submit your Federal year-end update requests at least three to five business days before the desired installation date.

Innovative Access® and Innovative Access Plus® Customers: The Federal year-end 2007 update is our R8V02M01 PTF; therefore, you will receive it automatically before the end of January, 2008. However, you will have to complete Year End Requests (via our Customer Resources Site) if you need State Magnetic Media updates.

All Customers: If you require State Magnetic Media updates, you must complete a separate Year-End Request form for each applicable state and provide us with that state's specifications.

Every customer will be notified before their updates are begun.

Costs: There will be no charge for updates requested before January 15, 2008, for existing support subscribers. A charge will be applied to any year-end updates requested after that date. If you do not have a signon and password for the Customer Resources Site, please register as soon as possible by filing out this form.

Year-End Changes

• There are changes to the W-2 form, as well as the Mag Media elements related to the W-2, 1099-INT and 1099-MISC forms.
• No changes were made to the actual 1099-MISC and 1099-INT forms for 2007.
  
  
  • Innovative will continue to support the 2-up version for 1099s and W-2s for dot matrix and laser printers. We will support 4-up W-2s for laser printers.
  • Innovative has also completed 2007 year-end internal software changes

Tax Forms and Envelopes

You must purchase the necessary tax forms from your TOPS supplier, who should have them in stock EXCEPT for the W-2, 4-up laser forms and envelopes. You must special-order the 4-up forms/envelopes from your supplier, and it may take a minimum of 2-3 weeks to receive them. We recommend that you place your order as soon as possible.
