RRR EXPRESS AND INNOVATIVE - A COMFORTABLE PARTNERSHIP Steven Hall first learned about IES when his former employer was searching for answers. When he purchased his own trucking company, he knew where to turn for his technology needs. "When I went shopping for my own solution, I came back to Innovative," said Hall, founder and President or RRR Express, LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio. "Although we were already on a competitor's system and my people were trained on that system for over a year, I still felt that for long term reliability and for what we wanted to do, Innovative's Access Plus® was our best solution." That was in 2002, when RRR was still in its infancy and had grown from 14 to 50 trucks during its first year. "It was the third change we had gone through in 19 months. My people were ready to kill me," Hall said, but Innovative's implementation and support team eased them through the conversion on site. "The team that came out was spearheaded by Connie (McNeill). She did a terrific job for us... it was a good experience." Hall chose the IES Access Plus® system, which provides the power of an IBM System i™ with the full suite of Innovative Enterprise Software® via the Internet. With Access Plus's 24/7 monitoring, automatic system updates, secured data center, redundant systems for disaster recovery, and full IES support and training, Hall obtained the reliability, speed and functionality he was looking for. "We had the feel of a large corporation even when we were small," Hall said. With IES Access Plus on board, RRR Express has grown seamlessly to nearly 100 trucks in 2006 without having to hire an IT person. "I've kept that out of my budget and my income statements," Hall said. "I think we've spent about $10,000 a year in outside IT contracting services…I really don't see us needing to address or to look at our own in-house IT for the next ten years. That's a comfortable position…with the demands of our capital expenditures, not having that as an ongoing need or requirement is comforting." |
