Innovative Computing Corporation® continued its tradition of setting industry standards through the recent introduction of its on-line school for the trucking world - Innovative University.

Innovative, whose enterprise software provides operational and administrative solutions used in hundreds of trucking fleets, unveiled its web-based, on-demand training program at its annual user conference in San Antonio, Texas. The 300, plus, attendees at this week's Innovative Conference and Exhibition (ICE) got the first look at the trucking and logistics industry background and technical courses tailored to meet the unique training needs and time constraints of Innovative's customers.

With Innovative University, students can work at their own pace, pause and return to lessons as needed, and test their mastery of the material before proceeding to the next level. Administrators can plan assignments and monitor student progress, even proctor the tests if they wish.

Innovative University is user-inspired and user-friendly. Some early examples of IU offerings include:

• How to set up Innovative IES® (IES®) with the Master Files 201 technical course
• IES dispatch fundamentals with Operations 201 - 205 technical courses
• Mobile communications nuts-and-bolts from their first visiting professor, QUALCOMM® Incorporated

Beyond introductory trucking and IES system instruction, Innovative has plans for 300-level Operations courses, as well as basic and advanced Maintenance and Administration offerings.

Comdata Corporation, Innovative's colleague in providing technology to the commercial carrier business, has previewed Innovative University and recognized its benefits.
