INNOVATIVE COMPUTING CORPORATION MARKS MILESTONE IN ONLINE EDUCATION Brentwood, TN — August 04, 2006 Just over one year after its public release, Innovative Computing Corporation's Innovative University® has reached a new milestone by providing online educational services to 1,200 users. With nearly 175 of Innovative's customer companies and partners enrolled, Innovative marked this milestone with this week's registration of its 1,200th student—up 180 users from the first week of June. Spurring the growth of the university is the ability of customer supervisors to add their own students as needed. While Innovative processes approximately five new sign-ups every week, the customers themselves now add students to their teams at sometimes ten times that pace. When asked about this accomplishment, Innovative Computing Corporation CEO Ernie Betancourt stated, "This is a great beginning for a true win-win addition to our services. Our customers win because it makes their organizations more effective. Innovative wins because it increases user satisfaction while reminding our users of features they might not currently use. We still have a long way to go - we estimate that if 25% of our users were enrolled we would have 4-5,000 students enrolled." Designed to enhance Innovative's existing training program, Innovative University has proven its worth to Innovative customers by offering new users and individuals new to the industry a first taste of trucking information and a first step to learning Innovative's software. It's the theory sessions that excite Terri Pearson Assistant HR Manager at Iowa based Smithway Motor Express. "I think it will make everyone in the business a success... It is important that everyone in a business have an idea of how all departments work together. Innovative University gives an overview of all areas of trucking that each department should find beneficial," she said. Another strong believer in the benefit of Innovative University is National Freight of Vineland, NJ. Starting their work with the University in May 2005, National Freight now makes up well over 5% of the university's student base. National Freight Corporate Trainer Randy Vanscoy explained it this way: "When we first looked at Innovative University we felt there might be some benefit in using it, but until we actually started working with it we didn't realize how much. We found that not only did we get exposed to parts of the Innovative system we were not using, but we also learned more about the transportation industry in general. One of the big benefits that came from the field was the ability to actually see what was expected from other job functions and see what happened with a shipment from the time it was quoted until the time it was billed." New Smithway Motor Express intern Eileen Towers agreed with Vanscoy by saying, "I thought it [Innovative University] was a very good learning tool. It gives you general information that will help in every aspect of your job and helps you understand other areas that you might not participate in." Courses described by Vanscoy and Towers include both theory and technical level courses designed for the variety of needs within Innovative's customer base. Theory level courses covering topics such as Trucking, Mobile Communications, Accounting and EDI allow customers an opportunity to educate their employees who are new to the industry and to broaden knowledge between departments. With theory courses in Fuel Tax and Maintenance expected soon, Innovative will continue to extend their educational horizon. Innovative University also focuses on introductory and advanced technical skills needed for Innovative IES® with courses such as Operations 201-205 covering IES® Operations Module elements including: Order Entry, Check Call, Dispatch, Slip Seating and the needs of the Multi-function Individual. In the past several months, Innovative has added technical training courses that cover classroom courses in Risk Management, Driver Acquisition and Payroll with Innovative's most recent technical additions on FlexEDI® made earlier this summer. In the coming months, Innovative also expects to add the technical level courses Innovative FleetRx® 201-208 and Innovative FleetRx 301, which are beginning an internal testing phase. As with all courses in the university, this Maintenance series will offer supplements, tests and an extensive set of lessons-including in this case nearly 80 individual lessons across the nine courses. This fall Innovative will also add Administration centered technical courses and additional Payroll courses designed to follow Innovative's classroom Administration class and to discuss Innovative's powerful PayMatrix module. "Our customers are really enthusiastic about the university. At ICE 2006 we found that our customer reviews on the University were solid. Whether it is our theory courses or testing of technical skills, the University is proving itself a meaningful tool for our users," said Betancourt.
