CUI™ ANNOUNCEMENT

Innovative Computing Corporation last week announced the introduction of their new CUI™ option during their Advisory Council meeting in Innovative's Brentwood, TN headquarters.

Innovative's CUI option gives each user the ability to toggle at will between a new graphic screen and Innovative's text screen. With this change will come the addition of graphic versions of Innovative's existing Innovative FleetRx® and Innovative IES® systems.

The CUI option is scheduled for a phased release beginning with the Innovative FleetRx® Maintenance Module in the second quarter of 2006. This will continue with CUI being added to Innovative IES®, including the Internet based Innovative Access® and Innovative Access Plus®, in the third quarter of 2006.

When asked why the convertible approach, Innovative's CEO Ernie Betancourt stated "I have never been willing to give up the software that runs America's most profitable carriers. Our customers get to keep the stability of the IBM System i™ and text screen efficiency, but have the option of a graphical user interface via CUI. By being convertible, our customers and their users have the option to decide how they want to work. This is really the best of both worlds."

By using a thin client like application, mission critical software will remain on the IBM System i™ box with the users working through a familiar browser. This keeps the processing effort on the shoulders of the IBM System i™ workhorse, but also gives Innovative users the added option of a graphical interface. This allows customers to work with their existing PC hardware, without the need for extensive new processors or the expensive and complicated networks required to support older client-server architecture.

User's looking for more ways to view their data will have additional options via Innovative's CUI enhancement. CUI users will be able view their Innovative FleetRx and IES information directly within other PC based applications. These can include applications such as word processing, e-mail and spreadsheet programs.

Being independent of a pure Windows environment, the CUI option allows greater flexibility in operating systems. Carriers will have the option of selecting from either Linux or Windows. "By avoiding an exclusive Windows option, Innovative's customers have the option of continuing in greater safety from hackers and viruses," said Innovative's Vice President and CIO Kokesh Kadakia.

"By offering the same software and services in this convertible format, we give users the expanded option to decide how they would like to work with their data. Through CUI, Innovative remains able to stick with a proven software and operating system to the benefit of our customers, while letting companies and their users select their way of interacting with their data," Kadakia concluded.
